This weekend I was working on a custom order...
I've made this kind of scrunchie in yellow, beige, pink, and turquoise. But I've never done it in this color until a nice customer suggested. Immediately I knew this would be cute, so when it was done, it looked exactly how I imaged.
I hope you like it!!
Yes, it's GREY!!
with white pom pom
It's very soft and fluffy.
with the orange cake.
It's about 12cm wide.
Soooooooo what do you think??

I love...
If you know me already, you would know that I'm into COFFEE.
Starting a day with a nice cup of java just seems like the best way to start a day... So I'm a little annoying when it comes to what I like for my coffee.
There are many cafes I like. However, my favorite one would be the Starbuck. I like them because they are everywhere and they do offer pretty good coffee.
When I was in Vancouver, I used to like Blendz (http://www.blenz.com/). I loved their mocha made with Ghirardelli's chocolate...
Anyway, I went to one of my favorite coffee place today.
Aren't these cappuccinos adorable?? Just looking at them, I forgot what I was upset for (many not so nice things happened to me today).

Custom Order Anyone??
It has been way too long since the last time I updated...
For those who wonder if I am an active Etsyian or not...Yes!! I'm still active :D So please stay tuned for my upcoming products!!
For the past several months, I focused more on my Japanese websites and participated a few craft fairs. Now I finally got the skills to manage both my Etsy shop and Japanese online shop.
If you have noticed, I haven't really done a custom order before. But recently I've met a very nice customer who wanted me to create somethings for her. We've exchanged several e-mails back and forth. And finally I came up with these...
Roll cake earrings!!
I topped the cake with the chocolate with her initial.
And also this...
Roll cake ring!!
It's on a plate with a small fork :D
Isn't this cute???
I posted on my blog and asked her if she liked these (http://ameblo.jp/amapolastore/entry-10376510382.html, http://ameblo.jp/amapolastore/entry-10376519600.html#main). She said she loves them!!
I just shipped them today. And I'm still quite nervous whether she likes them or not because you never know until you have them in your hands... (I'm an experienced online shopper lol)
Anyway let me know if you are interested in custom order!!

Do you love....??
Do you love oysters?? Do you love them raw?? Yes, love raw oysters. So the other day I had some at the restaurant I go sometimes.
These are called as "Iwagaki." Kaki (or gaki) means oysters in Japanese, and Iwagaki are especially the big ones. The size is usually 15-20cm across with the shell, and of course the inside is a lot bigger compared to the ones I saw in Canada. We eat them in several ways. On the picture, the front, we have an oyster with "Ponzu" sauce (say source with citrus), chive, grated spicy Daikon raddish. On the picture, the right, we have an oyster with cocktail sauce.
Ohhhh they were so delicious, matched very well with a cold glass of champagne.

Working on the computer...
Oh my goodness!! Today I was literally working on my computer for all day. I mean all day!! What happened to doing happy house wify stuff...oh forget about that! Just for today and maybe tomorrow...because I was working on a Japanese website. This took me forever to put it up. I wonder why most of Japanese stuffs are super complicated. I guess...A lot of stuffs are convenient; however, to be that way, there are many people behind the curtain working there ...off. Phew!!
Besides it was raining pretty hard today, so forget about cherry blossoms. They are all gone... Spring time in Japan is usually pretty short.
The one thing which was nice... I went to lunch with a friend yesterday. We went to a cafe called Yusoshi. This place was kinda funny becasue they have these seats where you basically have to sit on the floor. But they have these huge cushions and I had no clue how was I supposed to sit. It was funny...
Well, I'm working on knitting more scrunchies and making new charms now.
Here is what I listed yesterday. Amapola Japan. It's a rolled cake.

I think I need another doughnut!
I have came up with several versions of doughnut chrams. One of them was the one with chocolate drizzle...yum.
And here is the other one.
Strawberry icing...ummmmmmmmm
This is a cell phone charm and I'm sure every time when I'm on the phone...I'll probably thinking Tim Hortons(I used to live in Canada, so)...because of this.

Need a doughnut anyone?
Typical Japanese Woman
Majority of Japanese women are so much into beauty stuff...And I think I might be one of them, too. I love going to the nail salon! When I used to live in Canada, I frequently went to the nail salon there...but what I'm experiencing here is totally a different story.
They don't use any sort of machinery at all. So it takes time a little longer, but you could expect DETAILED arts and they are really good!
This is how mine looks like now.
If you have read my profile, you know that I'm a house wife. Yep, I clean, cook, and pretty much everything around house with these hands. They are actually pretty strong, so I have no problem.
Ummmm...so cute☆

What is this??
What are they?? What do you think??
These are strawberries. I just made them for my new charms. These are actually really small!
Here is my finger and strawberries. It was kinda hard to paint them red because there were soo small and I couldn't hold them...
Anway, please look forward to see what I did with them!

Working on...
About a week ago, I started my Esty store...so I'm woking very hard to make more items.
Colors! Colors! Colors!
This is only a portion of what I'm making. And yes, there are lots of subtle colors, too. Here is the white one.
As you can see...Amapola's accesories always come with a piece of dessert. Ummmm Yummy.

One spring day in Japan
Spring has come to Japan. In Osaka where I live, it is so warm that you can already wear short sleeves during the day.
Around this time of the year, many Japanese people go to "Ohanami." What is Ohamani? It is a picnic you do under the cherry blossoms.
Go to the park, choose the spot, spead your sheet, sit down, open the lunch box...and just enjoy the view...♪What a great way to enjoy a nice spring day!
What's more nice?? Well...in Japan you can drink pretty much anywhere you want. So of course, I brought some beers when I went to Ohanami last weekend.
By the way, that's my husband hand...not mine...if you were wondering...
